I found it in my local Fred Meyer store, but this fruit came all the way from Vietnam.

I scooped out the innards with a spoon and ate it. The fruit probably was not at its optimal ripeness. It was sweet in the center but had little taste on the peripheral part. My daughter tried it too and thought it tasted a bit like kiwi. The seeds are edible. I put the second half into a smoothie, blended with banana, mixed berries and eggnog. It was pretty good!
